How to Prepare for Your Ear Waxing Appointment

Tips to Prepare For Your Visit

Ensuring your ears are in optimal condition helps us give you the best care possible.

Pre-Appointment Checklist:

  • 1 week before:
▫️ Use an over-the-counter ear softening drop once a day (such as mineral oil or hydrogen peroxide drops, if approved by your doctor).

  • 2–3 days before:
▫️ Avoid inserting cotton swabs or objects into your ears.
▫️ Stay hydrated—dry ears can make wax more compacted.

  • Day of your appointment:
▫️ Bring your hearing aids and accessories.
▫️ Let us know if you’re feeling congested, have allergies, or experienced any pain.

Gentle preparation makes the appointment more effective—and more comfortable for you!
